Sharon
Göpfert has worked as a performer and collaborator in
Chicago since 1996. She teaches movement for actors at UIC, DePaul, and for Plasticene, with whom she
directed The Perimeter and has performed
and collaborated on Refuge, Doorslam,
Come Like Shadows, Volume XII, Head Poison, and so i may return,
and The Palmer Raids. Sharon
is an Artistic Associate at TrapDoor Theatre where she has performed
in Tattoo, The Killing Game, Baal,
and Lebensraum (Jeff Citation,
Best Supporting Actress). Other credits include work with Prop Theater,
Lookingglass, Curious Theatre, National Pastime Theatre, and Redmoon.
She is a student and believer of Capoeira - an African/Brazilian
Martial Arts/Dance and is Outreach Director for Canoa Grande in Igarassu, Brazil. Sharon played The Woman in the original production
of Capsize . |
